Job Descriptions

Location: Corporate office located at 1839 South Rd Wappingers Falls, NY

Field Support for Production Crews:

  • Visit and familiarize job site; assess project specifics
  • Attend pre-construction meetings with sales personnel; coordinate subcontractors and material itinerary.
  • Review scope of work with Foreman/ Sub-Contractor.
  • Be field support for production crew
  • Schedule safety inspections
  • Supervise project; be field support for production crew; track labor and production manhours.
  • Coordinate scheduling of sub-contractors with office
  • Contact with sales personnel to review job progress
  • Provide progress photos
  • Complete manufacturer’s final inspection with representative and ensure any punch-list is addressed and completed

Interface with the office:

  • Creates a pre-job equipment list, including safety, specialty equipment, and rentals.
  • Schedule trucks, equipment deliveries, and returns.
  • Liaison between field and shop regarding materials needed on a daily basis.

Administrative:

  • Evaluate projects which are running over budget and identify factors (bad estimate, added enhancements, unforeseen conditions, etc.)
  • Critique for options of cost control.
  • Exposure assessment to be done early on, in writing, describing deficiencies/shortfalls of both labor and materials.

Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years experience in commercial roofing in a supervisory role.
  • Understanding roofing practices, techniques, codes, and regulations.
  • Needs to understand scheduling, recordkeeping and have the ability to deal effectively with people.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to ensure that the most important tasks are completed first.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to train and develop crew leaders.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to lead crews.

Complete any other tasks/duties as may be assigned by the president.

Requirements:

  • Must follow all OSHA Guidelines/SOP.
  • Must pass Mandatory/Random drug test.
  • Have clean driver’s license a must.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and not be afraid of heights.
  • Must be able to carry 50 lbs.

This position requires a minimum 3 years experience in flat/low slope roofing.

Description:

  • Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems using waterproof materials such as modified bitumen, elastomeric, or rubber, PVC, and TPO.

Knowledge of:

Bitumen applicators, caulking guns, fall arrest systems, hand tools, heat welders, hoists, ladders, measuring tapes, membrane slitters, pop rivet guns, power drills, power roof cutters, roofing guardrails, roofing seamers, safety harnesses or belts, safety shoes.

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in roofing
  • Must follow all OSHA Guidelines/SOP
  • Must pass Mandatory/ Random drug test
  • Having a clean driver’s license a must.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and not be afraid of heights
  • Must be able to carry 50 lbs.
  • Will report to the corporate office located at 1839 South Rd Wappingers Falls, NY, at the start of day before getting an assignment and heading out to the job site. Will return to the office at the end of shift.

This opportunity consists of both office work at 1839 South Rd Wappingers Falls, NY, and field work.

Job Description:

  • Estimating– Provide accurate estimates, including labor and material from both bid documents and/or sales personnel take-offs.
  • Job Overview with sales personnel, office staff, subcontractors, and project manager – review scope of work, submittals, schedule and contract; establish lines of communication and areas of responsibilities with the office staff, and production manager regarding change orders, billings, etc.
  • Pre-Job startup Attend mandatory pre-construction meeting with sales personnel,  and production manager.
  • Interface with the office – Creates a pre-job equipment list, including safety, specialty equipment, and rentals. Schedule trucks, equipment deliveries, and returns. Liaison with the project manager regarding materials needed on a daily basis.
  • Complete any other tasks/duties as may be assigned by the president.

Knowledge of:

  • Bitumen applicators, caulking guns, fall arrest systems, hand tools, heat welders, hoists, ladders, measuring tapes, membrane slitters, pop rivet guns, power drills, power roof cutters, roofing guardrails, roofing seamers, safety harnesses or belts, safety shoes.

Qualifications:

  • Need to have complete knowledge of all commercial roof systems and able to estimate all types of building conditions, and have knowledge from new construction to re-roofs.
  • Accurate and comfortable with reading and taking off drawings and blueprints, understanding specifications, bid documents, and preparing a comprehensible quotation.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and Adobe, as well as estimating software. (Experience with EDGE estimating software a plus)

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years experience in commercial roofing estimating.
  • Required: Understanding roofing practices, techniques, codes, and regulations.

This is Not is subcontract position.

As an apprentice, you will assist and learn on Low-slope / flat roofs. Low-slope roofs make up about two-thirds of all roofs, as most commercial, industrial, and apartment buildings use this type.

Many of today’s low-slope roofs are covered with a single-ply membrane of waterproof rubber or thermoplastic compound.

This apprenticeship could turn into a permanent roofing position.

You will learn the following:

  • Install, maintain, and repair various types of roofs.
  • How to apply coatings.
  • Properly prep the roof for repairs.
  • Repair leaks.
  • Fit and cut materials into structural angles.
  • Install overlapping material over roof insulation.
  • Use waterproof sheet materials.
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Complete waterproof and drainage tests.
  • Clean gutters.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Wear protective equipment and clothing.

You will gain knowledge of:
